Welsh Harlequins are a critically endangered breed originating in Wales. The whole breed is derived from some off-colored khaki campbells that showed up in the flock of a welsh farmer. They are stunning birds, with both the males and the females having beautiful coloration. The females are excellent layers, outlaying almost all chicken breeds. They are also good mothers, hatching and raising ducklings each year. They have white down, making for a clean looking carcass, so extra drakes make good table birds.
